Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Churnet Valley Railway

A delightful heritage railway, deep in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Begin a 10.5 mile return journey from either Cheddleton or Froghall Station to the delightful hamlet of Consall Forge. The station at Cheddleton is a Grade II Victorian building and there is a replica Victorian station at Consall, with a small relics museum Engine Shed. At Cheddleton there is a signal box plus catering facilities. There are souvenir shops at both stations. Steam trains run every Sunday.
